Cool Lipo a Brief Overview

Cool Lipo is a patented type of laser liposuction. It’s a revolutionary technique of modern cosmetic surgery and body sculpting that offers a reduced amount of bruising and swelling normally associated with traditional liposuction. Cool Lipo is unique among other laser assisted liposuction procedures, because Cool Lipo has two modes of operation.
The first mode of operation for Cool Lipo involves liquefying the unwanted fat. A small tube is inserted through the skin and shifted around to target the troubling fat. This isn’t the jerking and stabbing motion of traditional liposuction. Cool Lipo uses a gentler and smother technique. The fat is then liquefied by the laser. At that point it can be removed or absorbed by the body.
A small tube is used to target smaller areas of the body such as unwanted male breast tissue (gynecomastia), neck, jowls, or other areas that contain small deposits of fat. A larger tube is used for larger trouble spots such as the back, thighs, and abdomen. The larger tube is used for targeting triceps and biceps. At this point the second mode of Cool Lipo’s patented method is used. This is the tightening mode which will tighten the tissues and the skin around the area where the fat was removed.
Due to this dual mode methodology, people who don’t want any fat removed, but still need a trouble spot tightened can make use of Cool Lipo. Loose skin on the back of the arms or under the chin are common areas that need a bit of rejuvenation.
Cool Lipo is less taxing on the body than traditional liposuction. First, Cool Lipo treatments are outpatient and do not require a hospital visit. Cool Lipo is conducted under local anesthesia which ensures the comfort of the patient, but eliminates the risks associated with general anesthesia. Although it’s recommended to have someone drive the patient to and from the procedure, many patients feel as if they could drive themselves home. Doctors recommend roughly two days of rest after the procedure, but people who do not have strenuous jobs often return to work the next day.
The outpatient procedure takes roughly forty-five minutes to two hours depending on the size of the targeted area and the amount of fat to be removed. The patient is alert during the procedure and, if necessary, can be prescribe anti-anxiety medication if they think they’ll be feeling nervous.
